2024 Back To School Supply Drive
We’re excited to announce the start of our annual Back to School Drive is officially underway! Join us in making sure students in Athens, GA, Atlanta, GA, Durham, NC and Raleigh, NC are ready for a successful school year.
We're collecting donations to ensure students have the supplies they need to be successful in the classroom.

2023 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2023, our back-to-school supply drive proved to be a success, ensuring that students start the academic year equipped with the tools they need to thrive. We handed out 300 backpacks to students in Athens, GA, and Atlanta, GA. Our initiative aimed to alleviate the financial burden on families and empower students with the resources necessary for academic success and personal growth.
2022 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2022, we delivered 200 backpacks to schools around Metro Atlanta and Metro Denver, 12 boxes filled with supplies to elementary, middle, and high schools around Athens, GA, and fulfilled 15 teachers' Amazon wishlists. None of this would have been possible without the help of Marshelle Taylor-Jackson and the City of Johns Creek staff.
2021 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2021, we sent 200 backpacks and 50 teacher boxes to schools throughout Georgia. Despite COVID changing how we were able to operate, we were happy to get back to helping the community.
2020 Back To School Supply Drive
Due to COVID-19 in 2020, we could not giveaway school supplies and backpacks.
2019 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2019, we partnered with Athens Neighborhood Health Center and gave away 300 backpacks. This event allowed the entire community to come together and have a good time, and Dreams To Kings and Queens was grateful to be a part of it.
2018 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2018, we gave out 275 backpacks to East Athens Summer Camp children and Lay Park Summer Camp. It was important to us that every kid went home with a backpack & school supplies on the last day of camp. We want to thank everyone who helped us accomplish this!
2017 Back To School Supply Drive
In 2017, we increased the number of backpacks given away to 250. Dreams To Kings and Queens hand-delivered over half of the backpacks to low-income families throughout Athens, Georgia, and Atlanta, Georgia. The rest were distributed to various schools in those areas and the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.
2016 Back To School Supply Drive
This was our first year doing a back-to-school drive in 2016. We distributed 75 backpacks throughout schools in Athens. We met our goal and helped out many kids who did not have the necessary supplies for the first day of school. After we had passed out all the backpacks, we received a last-minute donation from Christina Carnes Photography and filled up large boxes with school supplies to help out more schools needing supplies to give to students.
