History

This organization was founded in 2015. Founder Tracy Stephens started by making customized t-shirts. He originally named the company Dreams To Kings. Many people liked the designs but wondered why women lacked apparel. That gave him the idea to add Queens to the organization’s name, which resulted in Dreams To Kings and Queens.

Once he started selling shirts designed for men and women, his sales began to rise. Most people would’ve just taken the money and spent it on themselves in the heat of the moment, but he wanted to give it back to his community. Mr. Stephens is from Athens, Georgia. When most people think of Athens, they instantly think of UGA and how perfect they think the city is because of the college there. Those people don’t realize that Athens is struggling as a city. A lot of people need help there. Around 34% percent of the population lives in poverty. Knowing about the city he comes from made him want to do whatever he could to help as many students as possible get the academic resources they needed. He did this by starting community service projects like our annual backpack giveaway and scholarship giveaway. The holiday blessings program that helps families in need fulfill their children’s Christmas wish list was also formed through this.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but participating in all these great activities over the last four years has allowed us to expand this organization to help kids throughout Georgia. All the work we have put in has brought us a long way.

Founder

Tracy Stephens is the Founder of Dreams To Kings and Queens and BLK Hiking Club. His focus is to spread love throughout the community. Whether in the city or the outdoor space, he’s always on a mission to make a difference. Tracy is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Shorter University with a Master of Business Administration.

Vision

If we ever want to see a change in this world, it starts with all of us. We must come together as one! Making a difference within our communities doesn’t take much. Society may tell you that you need all this money to help impact students positively, but that’s not always the case. There are so many ways you can affect a student’s life. All you need is an open mind and a heart for helping the youth. Everything else will fall into place. That is why we always live by our slogan, “Follow your heart. Be the change!” There are students out here who need us. Let’s all come together and change this world for the better. Empower the next generation of students by following your heart!

Merger With BLK Hiking Club

On October 4, 2022, we officially merged with BLK Hiking Club to become their foundation. This move will help kickstart their community initiatives effort. We are very enthusiastic and optimistic about this move. It's going to bring immense growth opportunities for everyone. It will make the hiking club stronger. It will also help us both have a more significant impact on the communities we live in.

Moreover, the increased resources will help us perform better and deliver better services. There has never been a better time to impact this world. We are ready to take on that responsibility with BLK Hiking Club!
